Anthony Volpe, the versatile Yankees infielder, believes his defensive skills can prove instrumental in the upcoming playoffs. After a solid performance in the doubleheader opener against the Orioles, Volpe opined, “We’ll see. It’s all hands on deck. We’ve got everything to play for.” His impact was felt not just in the field, but also at the plate, where a two-run double in the sixth inning of the second game secured a 4-0 lead.

This marked Volpe's return to shortstop since August 1, following his temporary stint in Triple-A earlier in August.

Will Warren, the reliever, was another key player, striking out seven and allowing just three hits over 3 2/3 innings. Warren's stellar performance has him earmarked for the postseason roster. Volpe praised Warren, saying, “I think he’s just an incredible pitcher. He works super hard,” confident in his abilities regardless of his role.
