Yamal nets in Spain’s 3-2 comeback win against England in Nations League

World Cup champions Spain defied a late scare to emerge victorious against England in the Nations League with a dramatic 3-2 win on Saturday. The Spanish team, which had been on an unbeaten streak of 39 games, extended their winning run in London.

Substitute Mikel Oyarzabal proved to be the hero, scoring a last-minute winner in the 74th minute at Wembley. Oyarzabal had also netted the winning goal in Spain's final against England during the 2024 European Championship.

The Spaniards rallied from a 2-1 halftime deficit to claim the win. Harry Kane came close to scoring a header for England, but his effort deflected off Marc Cucurella. Early in the second half, Antony Gordon leveled the score for England after a quick breakaway, but Spain responded swiftly.

Jude Bellingham opened Spain's scoring account with a well-taken goal, but England equalized in the 36th minute through Gordon. Kane then gave England the lead with a header that deflected off Marc Cucurella. In the closing stages, substitute Alex Baena leveled the game again, and Oyarzabal sealed the win with a calm finish from close range.
