However, a psychiatrist clarifies that "pregnancy addiction" is not a recognized medical diagnosis.

It is an informal term used to describe a strong desire to become pregnant repeatedly. Dr. Pavitra Shankar, a psychiatrist, explains that pregnancy can provide emotional fulfillment, purpose, or connection for some women. However, factors such as previous positive experiences, unresolved emotional issues, or external pressures may contribute to the desire for multiple pregnancies.
