What's the weirdest thing that happened to you in a tabletop RPG?

A seismic event occurred during a remote tabletop session hosted by a friend from New Zealand. As we delved into a steampunk-inspired West African city, my friend's screen began to tremble. Soon, objects tumbled from the bookcase, and his then-partner rushed down the stairs in a state of panic. It was an earthquake - an unexpected twist in our otherwise normal evening.

We paused briefly to let the disturbance subside, then returned to our adventure. It was both bizarre and thrilling, especially since earthquakes are not common in Scotland.

In another session, I became infected with an alien virus during a Mothership game hosted by former senior editor Robin Valentine. My infection was only revealed when Robin started sending me chilling DMs detailing my increasingly unsettling condition. Paranoia took over, and I attempted to flee the spaceship, which I eventually found myself trapped in.

In a bizarre turn of events, my guides editor shot me in the leg, causing my head to pop off and grow tentacles. I then had the misfortune of eating Robin's face. She didn't seem to mind, but I think HR might want to be informed.

The third tale comes from a Call of Cthulhu game. After witnessing a particularly spooky ghost, I was driven mad and ended up shooting a fellow player with an elephant gun, effectively disintegrating them. In a surreal moment, I then hopped into a taxi to escape the scene of the crime. Unfortunately, my echolalia kicked in, leaving me unable to speak except by repeating the last thing the taxi driver said.

While I feel more sympathy for the taxi driver than the unfortunate victim, this experience was certainly one for the record books.
