Watch: Teen DJ 'can't wait' for dream gig with 'hero'

A young DJ from Dublin, nicknamed SEANEM, is eagerly anticipating his big break - performing as the opening act for renowned dance icon Paul Oakenfold at The Haven in Dunmore East, County Waterford. Oakenfold, a veteran DJ with a storied career producing remixes for the likes of U2 and Madonna, is in town as part of the 25th anniversary festivities for the former South nightclub in Tramore.

Seán's passion for music ignited at a tender age of three when he first got his hands on his father's vinyl records. By the time he was eight, he had his own turntables and made his debut on stage during a family gathering in Dublin. Since then, he's graced the stages of prestigious Irish festivals including Greenfields, Beyond the Pale, Kaleidoscope, Forest Fest, and Electric Picnic, the latter being the pinnacle of his ambition.

Electric Picnic proved to be a monumental milestone for the young artist, and he's been dreaming of this moment ever since. His musical repertoire primarily revolves around progressive trance, progressive house, and funky house. Despite the demanding schedule, Seán remains committed to honing his skills, both on and off the decks, even if it means sacrificing some homework time.

Tonight's performance at The Haven marks the first of three shows he'll be giving alongside other electronic music heavyweights, featuring Roger Sanchez and Dave Clarke & SLAM next month.
