Vinod Kambli’s message from elderly care home leaves fans emotional

Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli has shared a touching video from an elderly care center in Thane, India, where he currently resides. At the age of 54, Kambli appears in the footage, speaking directly to the camera about his experience at the Nidan Centre for Elderly Care. The 54-year-old has praised the center's facilities, particularly its cleanliness and hygiene, describing them as "first class."

More importantly, Kambli emphasizes that the care he has received has made him feel at home, stating, "I have received a lot of love," and adding that he does not feel like he is away from home. The video has gained traction on social media, with cricket fans expressing concern and wishing Kambli well. Kambli's friendship with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has endured over the years, both on and off the field, despite Kambli's recent health struggles.

The pair famously shared a remarkable 664-run partnership in a school match in 1988, which laid the foundation for their successful careers together. Kambli, once considered one of the most naturally gifted batters in Indian cricket, has faced several health issues over the years. In December 2024, he was hospitalized in Thane due to low blood pressure, a urinary tract infection, electrolyte imbalances, and old brain clots linked to a previous stroke.

After around two weeks of treatment, he was discharged in January 2025. Despite these challenges, Kambli continues to make public appearances, although his health and mobility remain a matter of concern for cricket fans who have witnessed his stellar career.
