UPSSSC PET 2026 dates revised: Test on Oct 25, 30, Nov 1 for Lekhpal, Junior Assistant

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has adjusted the exam dates for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026. The written exam, previously set for October 23, 24, and 25, 2026, has been rescheduled to October 25, October 30, and November 1 of the same year. Approximately 35.42 lakh candidates have registered for the 2026 PET, an increase from around 25.3 lakh candidates in the previous cycle.

The revised exam schedule features two shifts per day. In Shift 1, the test will commence at 10 am and conclude at noon. In Shift 2, the examination will take place from 3 pm to 5 pm. Candidates should verify their individual admit cards for the assigned examination date, shift, and center, as well as adhere to the reporting instructions provided.

UPSSSC has not disclosed the release date for the admit cards, and candidates will receive information through separate communication. UPSSSC PET is a qualifying examination for recruitment to various Group B and Group C posts under the Uttar Pradesh government. Successful candidates can then apply for recruitment to posts such as Lekhpal and Junior Assistant, among others.

The application process for PET 2026 began on August 3 but was later extended to September 7 due to technical and OTP-related issues reported by candidates during registration.
