Ukrainian air defense shoot down 134 of 173 enemy targets; enemy aerial weapons strike 19 locations

Ukrainian defense forces successfully shot down 134 enemy drones overnight into Saturday, August 26, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The attack, which began on September 25 at 18:00, saw the enemy launch 173 strike UAVs from various directions including Orel, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo in the Russian Federation, and temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Among the targeted drones were Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as other models. In response, Ukrainian defense forces utilized aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups to counter the aerial threat. Despite the interception, enemy aerial weapons were recorded striking 19 locations, with debris from downed drones found in 8 locations. The ongoing attack saw several enemy UAVs remaining in the airspace.
