PS5 users can download a free The Last of Us-themed background from their consoles' PlayStation Welcome Hub landing page. This background features both younger and older versions of Ellie from the main games, and there is no need to download anything to use it.

While this background is not as dynamic as fans have requested, it adds a touch of excitement for those eagerly anticipating a return to the series. Naughty Dog teased that the celebration would include more announcements on September 28. Fans can expect a partnership announcement, a digital surprise, a charity stream on Twitch, and more.
