Saudi Arabia defeat Oman 3-0 to reach Gulf Cup semi-finals

In a decisive match, Saudi Arabia overwhelmed Oman 3-0 on Saturday, advancing to the semi-finals of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup. The Saudi national team secured a convincing victory over Oman in the second round of the group stage. Firas Al-Buraikan put Saudi Arabia ahead in the 11th minute, followed by Hassan Kadesh adding a second goal in the 18th minute.

Al-Buraikan scored a third goal in the 34th minute, solidifying Saudi Arabia's lead at halftime. With this result, Saudi Arabia earned three crucial points, bolstering their lead at the top of Group A and securing their place in the semi-finals. The team now boasts six points from two matches, after an initial 1-0 win over Kuwait.

Oman remains in third place with one point after drawing 1-1 with Iraq in their opening match. Saudi Arabia's starting lineup against Oman comprised Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat, Hassan Tambakti, Hassan Kadesh, and Muteb Al-Harbi in defense; Alaa Al-Haji, Mohammed Kanno, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, Sultan Mandash, and Hammam Al-Hamami in midfield; and Harib Al-Saadi, Ghanem Al-Habshi, Musab Al-Shaqsi, and Khalid Al-Ghatrifi in defense. Midfielders included Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Abdullah Fawaz, Sultan Al-Marzouq, and Jameel Al-Yahmadi.
