Real Madrid's defender, Eder Militao, is on the verge of returning from a significant injury layoff, with a recent medical assessment clearing him to resume training. Doctor Lasse Lempainen, who performed Militao's tendon surgery in April, visited the team facilities earlier this week and confirmed that the centre-back is progressing according to plan.

The Brazilian international underwent surgery for a severe hamstring injury, with an expected recovery period of five months. Militao is now in the final stages of his rehabilitation and is expected to be back in action during October, provided he maintains his progress and adapts to playing with the rest of the squad. The last few years have been challenging for Militao, who has faced numerous injuries, including ACL ruptures in both knees and damage to both menisci, totaling 781 days out of action since 2023.
