Raja Perlis terima menghadap menteri komunikasi

Raja Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, happily traveled to receive communication from Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil at the Blue Reception Hall, Arau Palace today. He was accompanied by Raja Muda Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Abdul Halim Hamzah, Deputy Chief Secretary of the Communications Ministry.

The palace statement said the reception was an opportunity to exchange views on recent developments in the communication sector, particularly on the importance of timely, effective, and easily accessible information to the public. According to them, in the context of Perlis, advancements in communication and digital connectivity play a crucial role in building community relations, expanding access to information, and opening up more opportunities in education, economy, and community development.

Digital literacy also became increasingly important to ensure that the public, especially the younger generation, can utilize technology positively, responsibly, and in line with the evolving communication landscape, they added. The palace noted that the meeting also emphasized the importance of strengthening the communication ecosystem in Perlis to ensure that the benefits of technological advancements and information access can be enjoyed more broadly by the state's population.

Perlis indeed has lofty aspirations to realize the Perlis Smart City Plan 2030, hoping for support from the central government through the Communications and Multimedia Commission of Malaysia (SKMM), they said.
