Qatar rejects Netanyahu’s claims over anti-Israel campaign

Qatar firmly denied Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's allegations at the UN General Assembly that Doha is waging a campaign to "brainwash young people" against Israel and the West. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed Al-Ansari, emphasized that such rhetoric serves only to divert attention from the grave humanitarian consequences of Israel's actions in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Al-Ansari criticized the reduction of the global shift in public opinion to mere allegations of "influence campaigns," calling it an insult to the awareness and judgment of a generation witnessing the events firsthand. He further stated that if Netanyahu and other extremist Israeli politicians aim to change how the world perceives Israel, they should first rectify their own policies, cease violating international law, and take responsibility before their constituents instead of seeking scapegoats to blame for Israel's deteriorating global image.

Al-Ansari argued that attempts to hold Qatar or anyone else accountable for a global shift in public opinion based on what people are witnessing are becoming less credible. These persistent attacks on Qatar can only be seen as an attempt to deflect focus from political responsibility for policies and practices on the ground, exploiting Qatar for domestic political gain.
