Only 5️⃣ managers have lasted over a year in Brasileirão Série A

Only five managers have remained in their positions for over a year in the Brasileirão Série A, according to recent reporting. The recent addition to this elite group is Eduardo Baptista, who has taken over as coach of Internacional following Paulo Pezzolano. Pezzolano was one of the eight coaches leading a top-flight team since the beginning of the current season.

A total of five professionals have now amassed at least one year at the same club since last Thursday, 24th August 2026. Abel Ferreira, with Palmeiras, holds the record for the longest tenure at 1,570 days since joining on 30th October 2020. Rogério Ceni, with Bahia, follows with over three years at the club. Other coaches in this select group include Rafael Guanaes and Odair Hellmann, both with more than 12 months at their respective teams.

Vagner Mancini, hired to prevent Red Bull Bragantino from relegation, is the other coach who has remained with the same team since last year. Fernando Seabra, who was officially announced by Coritiba back in 2025, began his tenure in this year's Paranaense, having not played a match for Coritiba in Série B.
