It appears Ole Miss may be without one of their top offensive players, star running back Kewan Lacy, due to a shoulder injury. According to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz, Lacy is trending towards missing the game. Lacy had an outstanding 2025 season, rushing for 1,567 yards and 24 touchdowns on 306 carries, averaging 5.1 yards per carry.

He also added 177 receiving yards. Lacy was named first-team All-SEC and All-American, and was a preseason watch-list candidate for several national awards, including the Doak Walker, Maxwell, and Walter Camp Player of the Year. He was poised to deliver more in the second half of the season as competition ramped up.

Lacy's absence would significantly impact the Rebels, who are already in a challenging position. If Lacy misses the game, they might rely on freshman JT Lindsey, who had just four touches against LSU last weekend, and star quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who rushed for 527 yards the previous season.
