Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim emphasized that a nation built on the values of society thrives when provoked by anger, but must be guided by knowledge as the foundation of a strong nation. He stated that the strength of a struggle cannot solely rely on fervor and emotions, instead, it must be bolstered by the power of knowledge that can enlighten and warn the populace.

Anwar cited the late Ustaz Fadzil Noor, who reminded that the vessel of Islam requires not just the surge of fervor, emotions, and sentiment, but the strength of knowledge that enlightens and warns. He stated that in the context of building the Madani nation, change needs to be based on belief, idealism, and pure intention to elevate the stature and nationhood, not the emotions of supremacy, ethnicity, or an "elephant race".

He stressed that merely being born a Muslim, or having Islamic roots does not guarantee understanding of Islam; a movement, association, or organization of Islam does not ensure the revival of Islamic spirit beyond fervor and words. Therefore, the responsibility lies on us to revive the tradition of knowledge.

Anwar also noted that experience in the Islamic movement teaches that a struggle must be built on belief and trust for action, not just the number of social media support, votes, or acceptance. Ultimately, the aim is to seek and obtain the rest of Allah. Let it be through the support and strength of our sisters and brothers, we can continue to build the strength of Islamic community.

Anwar also emphasized the importance of the tradition of knowledge, usrah (voluntary work), and efforts to gather new ideas in shaping the understanding of the public, especially in a nation with multiple races and religions. Clearly, efforts to build a nation also need to pay attention to education and learning new knowledge, including artificial intelligence (AI), but not at the expense of the basics like faith and character.

We must acquire new knowledge, AI, but if we reach for the sky, we must leave roots on the ground, otherwise, we will face difficulties in forming the nation-state.
