In the aftermath of the game, Di Lorenzo, speaking to Rai via Calciomercato, expressed that while boos were unfortunate, they must be accepted. He acknowledged the team's effort, stating, "We tried our best, but it's disappointing because we wanted to start the group well and we need to improve."

Di Lorenzo analyzed Belgium's strong individual performances, noting how they capitalized on Italy's mistakes. He emphasized the positives, highlighting the team's approach in the second half: "In the first half, we let ourselves be carried away by enthusiasm and the desire to press, but this is the right path and what the coach wants."

He further defended the team against criticism, stressing that targeting individual players should not occur, especially as the Azzurri embark on a new journey together. "A new cycle has begun, with new, young players, and it's normal to make mistakes in the first match. If we go back to destroying the team right away, it won't be good for the national team.

We have other matches to do better. I think it's also a matter of self-esteem, which can grow with results against important teams. We want it, and we’ll give it our all."

Italy's next game is against Turkey, providing an opportunity to demonstrate their strength for the remainder of the group stage. Following that, they will face France, a more formidable opponent.
