NADRA Adds 3 New Features to PakID App

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has unveiled three innovative features in the latest iteration of its PakID mobile application, providing users with expanded capabilities for handling digital identity documents. The updated version 5.8.0 of the app empowers users to generate and store digital identity cards for their spouses and eligible children alongside their own personal digital identity cards. Moreover, the application enables users to conveniently share these digital cards whenever necessary.

In addition to these enhancements, the updated PakID app now incorporates a QR code scanning mechanism for document verification. By selecting the "Scan QR Code" option within the app, users can scan digital QR codes present on B-Forms and Identity Card Cancellation Certificates, thereby accessing and verifying the information contained in these documents.

Furthermore, NADRA has introduced a biometric verification facility within the app, specifically for influenza and meningitis vaccinations that are mandatory for Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages. Users can now complete this biometric verification process through the PakID application, making the entire procedure more streamlined and user-friendly.

NADRA has urged citizens to promptly download the latest version of the PakID app to take advantage of these new features and leverage the digital identity services offered by the authority. Additionally, the agency has opened the floor to users for suggesting additional features and facilities they would like to see incorporated into future versions of the application.
