Milestone as Martha Karua opens 24th office for People’s Liberation Party

Martha Karua, the leader of the People's Liberation Party (PLP), inaugurated the party's 24th office in Nakuru County on September 26, 2026, as she intensifies grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 General Election. The new office, situated in Bahati, underscores PLP's commitment to strengthening its presence and organisation nationwide.

Karua highlighted this milestone on X, stating that the opening symbolises the growing activity within the party and the increasing engagement of supporters with grassroots structures. "The energy, commitment, and expanding presence of our supporters remind us that mambo ni ground," she remarked.

Karua affirmed that PLP would persist with its grassroots organising strategy, concentrating on individual communities while striving to broaden its support base. "We will continue organising one community at a time and sharing our values of justice, equality, and accountable leadership," she emphasized. She also extended an invitation to Kenyans to participate in the party via its official platform.

The inauguration of the Bahati office follows PLP's previous announcement about Karua's role in opening its Nakuru County office at the Heshima Centre in Kiamaina Ward. The party sees this event as part of its strategy to establish robust local structures and coordinate activities across the county. As political parties ramp up grassroots activities in anticipation of the 2027 General Election, with a focus on county, constituency, and ward-level structures, Karua has ramped up her own political activities, including grassroots mobilisation and direct engagement with supporters across the nation.
