Mike Tomlin sends a strong message to Pittsburgh Steelers legend after Hall of Honor induction

Mike Tomlin, the former head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, expressed his admiration for Kevin Colbert, a long-time associate in the organization, after Colbert's induction into the team's Hall of Honor. Tomlin, who served as the head coach in Pittsburgh for 19 years, played a pivotal role in the franchise's success by leading them to two Super Bowl victories.

Initially hired as the Director of Football Operations, Colbert eventually took on the role of General Manager, a position he held for over 21 years during which the Steelers won two Super Bowls.

Tomlin's decision to congratulate Colbert on social media reflects the deep bond they shared. Tomlin credited Colbert for helping him secure the head coaching position following Bill Cowher's departure. After the legendary Cowher resigned, Tomlin emerged as the new leader, continuing the Steelers' legacy of success. The induction ceremony also honored Cornerback J.T. Thomas and Guard Craig Wolfley, who joined Colbert in the 2026 Hall of Honor.
