Man United’s Kobbie Mainoo crowned with prestigious award after blistering start to season

Manchester United's promising young talent, Kobbie Mainoo, has been honored with the club's prestigious September Player of the Month award. Despite a sluggish start to the 2026/27 season under manager Michael Carrick, the 21-year-old has been a beacon of brilliance. Mainoo's on-field prowess and defensive resilience have transformed from a World Cup disappointment into a formidable force.

During Manchester United's electrifying Champions League opener against Sabah FK, Mainoo showcased his exceptional ability to deliver precise long balls. His growing synergy with Youri Tielemans has further solidified his position, earning him widespread acclaim from Carrick. Impressively, Mainoo has claimed possession more often (40 times) than any other Premier League player this season.
