KP Announces New Restriction on Tour Operators

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Tourism Authority has introduced a new requirement mandating registration for all tour operators and travel agencies operating within the province. In a recent official notice, the authority announced its intention to take legal action against any business providing tourism services without proper registration.

Effective immediately, no individual or entity will be permitted to conduct tours, operate a travel agency, or provide tourism services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa without undergoing the mandatory registration process. The directive instructs unregistered tour operators and travel agents to complete their registration promptly via the designated online portal, adhering to the specified procedure.

Authorities emphasize that this measure aims to enhance the oversight and regulation of tourism service providers throughout the region. Those businesses persisting in operation without registration will be subject to legal consequences under applicable laws. The Tourism Authority has further advised tourists and the general public to refrain from utilizing the services of unregistered operators and agents.

Moreover, individuals are encouraged to report any unregistered or illicit tour operator or travel agent to the appropriate authorities.
