Keralam government will extend all support to tech-driven enterprises: Kunhalikutty

The Keralam government pledges full support for young tech-driven enterprises, declared Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty during the Kerala Young Entrepreneurs Conclave-2026. The event, held at Calicut Trade Centre, was organized by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme.

Kunhalikutty emphasized the confidence of young people as a strength of the State, highlighting how artificial intelligence could aid small rural enterprises in identifying global markets for their products. He also stressed that quality packaging and effective marketing could help small-scale units in rural areas access global markets.

The government will organize regular campaigns and conclaves for young entrepreneurs, providing them with necessary support. Traditional Keralam products and food items have significant potential in international markets, and the commissioning of the Vizhinjam port will reduce transportation costs, facilitating the movement of products to global markets.

The government is implementing a 'One State, One Approval' policy to streamline the approval process for entrepreneurs, with legislative amendments to be introduced for statutory backing. Additionally, the government is working on creating a land bank for industrial purposes and addressing construction and land-related issues. A recent order by the Industries department has offered incentives, subsidies, and clearances to attract enterprises.

The conclave featured interactive sessions, technology discussions, and over 40 stalls showcasing start-ups, technology institutions, banks, and government departments. Around 1,500 MSMEs and K. Jayanth, MLA, attended the inaugural session led by Kunhalikutty.
