ISPES launches PecoDrop With Zong

Karachi: ISP Environmental Solutions (ISPES) has joined forces with mobile telecommunications company Zong to introduce PecoDrop, a smart waste management system aimed at enhancing recycling efforts through proper waste segregation, digital tracking, and employee involvement. The system will be installed at various Zong facilities, enabling staff members to segregate recyclable materials such as plastic, paper, and metal at the time of disposal.

By implementing the PecoDrop initiative, ISPES hopes to contribute to material recovery and minimize the amount of recyclable waste that ends up in landfills. The system tracks the deposit and volume of materials, ensuring a clear and verifiable trace from disposal to recycling. Additionally, an integrated rewards program allows Zong employees to earn credits for depositing recyclables, monitor their contributions digitally, and redeem accumulated rewards.

Dr. Zillay Maryam, CEO of ISPES, emphasized that the partnership is about more than just installing collection points; it is about establishing the foundation for a circular economy. Maryam expressed satisfaction in collaborating with Zong to create the digital and physical framework for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
