Dorsey, McCrary power Georgia State over Northern Illinois 35-14

Rodshaun Dorsey connected on five passes for 114 yards and scored two touchdowns, while Lanear McCrary Jr. rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown, as Georgia State defeated Northern Illinois 35-14. Cameran Brown completed 14 of 21 passes for 148 yards, including touchdowns to Dorsey of 18 and 50 yards. Georgia State took the lead early after a fumble on the opening kickoff was recovered by Zach Stair at the Northern Illinois 4-yard line.

Isaiah Stone added a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. McCrary's 1-yard rushing score and Dorsey's second touchdown pushed the score to 35-14 in the third quarter. Northern Illinois outgained Georgia State 432-342, but a late fumble and turnover on downs prevented a comeback. Taron Dickens passed for 320 yards and a score on 28-of-42 passing, and Dearee Rogers rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown.

Northern Illinois will face Air Force on October 10, while Georgia State will host Old Dominion next Saturday.
