Candace Owens vs Turning Point USA heats up as podcaster alleges role in Charlie Kirk assassination: ‘I weep for you’

Podcaster Candace Owens has made shocking claims against Turning Point USA (TPUSA) in relation to Charlie Kirk's assassination. This is not Owens' first time targeting TPUSA, as she has previously accused senior members of being involved in Kirk's murder, though she has not provided any evidence. Owens now alleges that TPUSA officials were involved in planning Kirk's event at Utah Valley University (UVU), which was the location of his fatal shooting on September 10, 2025.

Owens has shared an alleged communication from the team that conducted an "independent review" of UVU the day Kirk was killed. She claims that the reviewers could not reach any TPUSA-affiliated person and that TPUSA headquarters, not the local TPUSA chapter, had requested the event's time and location. Owens has also shared claims that the local TPUSA chapter did not want to host Kirk's event, contradicting earlier statements made by TPUSA.

No confirmation has been provided for these claims, and TPUSA has not responded to Owens' allegations. Kirk was fatally shot while attending an event by TPUSA at UVU. Utah native Tyler Robinson has been arrested in connection with the case and faces trial. Despite the lack of evidence, Owens continues to push her conspiracy theories and has targeted Kirk's widow, Erika, in her ongoing feud with TPUSA.

Owens posted on X, "I weep for you, Charlie," and claimed that TPUSA lied to her about the event's planning. She further shared a post from Baron Coleman stating, "TPUSA has a right to remain silent, and they exercised it. We'll look at the independent review of the event that took Charlie's life." Owens has also accused TPUSA of gaslighting her for a year, claiming that the organization's claims about the event's planning were unnatural and fabricated.
