Bigg Boss Marathi star Divya Shinde booked for alleged attack on Pune doctor over Rs500,000 demand

Bigg Boss Marathi star Divya Shinde and several others have been booked for allegedly attacking a 65-year-old retired doctor in Pune, India. The incident took place after an alleged demand of Rs500,000 from the doctor, Vidyadhar Gaikwad, who retired as a medical officer from Pune’s Cantonment Hospital in 2021. According to the FIR filed by Gaikwad's brother, Shinde attended an event organized by the Karunadeep Foundation but was not invited.

She reportedly demanded the money, insisting that the event's publicity was due to her presence. Gaikwad allegedly transferred Rs50,000 through Google Pay, but Shinde continued to demand more. Police were notified on September 17, and on September 23, the attackers allegedly demanded the remaining amount, physically assaulted Gaikwad with a wooden stick, belt, and metal utensil, and vandalized his home.

Gaikwad was hospitalized with severe head injuries. Shinde, known as "Sarkar" on social media, has over a million followers across various platforms. She had previously been removed from Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 due to allegations of threatening fellow contestants.
