At least 11 killed, several injured in blast targeting DI Khan police checkpost: Rescue 1122

On Saturday, a bomb attack at a police checkpost in Aman Mela, near Dera Ismail Khan's Darazinda, resulted in at least 11 deaths and 20 injuries, according to Rescue 1122 officials. The victims included eight men, two women, and a child. Rescue teams are continuing relief operations at the site and recovering victims from the debris, while bomb disposal teams have been dispatched to investigate the cause of the explosion.

Several police officers, customs personnel, and civilians were among those injured. Rescue 1122 reported that 20 injured individuals have received initial medical assistance, with 18 being referred to Darazinda's Mufti Mahmood Hospital for further treatment. Over 25 personnel, six ambulances, and a fire vehicle are participating in the relief operations.

Rescue 1122 District Emergency Officer Muhammad Arif Khan ordered the deployment of four additional ambulances to assist in the rescue effort. The Aman Mela checkpost is used for security and checking along the DI Khan-Quetta route. KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi instructed senior officials to report on the incident and ensure that every possible medical facility is made available to the injured.

Kundi referred to the attack as a "nefarious conspiracy by Fitna al-Hindustan Khawarij," a designation given to designated Balochistan-based groups, highlighting India's role in terrorism and destabilization across Pakistan.
