Anwar: China trip boosts investment prospects and trade ties for both nations

KUALA LUMPUR — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reported a successful visit to Shanghai and Hangzhou, China, fueling potential investments and strengthening trade ties for both nations. The trip, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, covered two main events: the WorldSkills Shanghai Competition and the Global Digital Trade Expo in Hangzhou.

Anwar emphasized the importance of leveraging diplomatic relations, currently at an all-time high, to explore further opportunities and forge new, promising collaborations. He highlighted Malaysia's participation in international competitions, such as the WorldSkills Competition and Summit, and the Global Digital Trade Expo, which showcased the nation's capabilities on a global scale.

Anwar also reiterated Malaysia's commitment to prioritize humanity and values in the pursuit of technological advancements, particularly in artificial intelligence, as global competition poses uncertainties. He expressed his dedication to continuing the Madani Diplomacy Tour for the benefit of the Malaysian people and the nation.
