Antwan Raymond runs for 140 yards and 3 TDs in Rutgers’ 58-7 romp over Howard

On Friday night, Rutgers' Antwan Raymond showcased his running prowess with 140 yards and three touchdowns, leading his team to a resounding 58-7 triumph over Howard. The Scarlet Knights (1-3) outscored their opponents by a staggering 318-67 in their seven previous encounters.

Dylan Lonergan's brilliant performance on offense, with 214 passing yards and two touchdowns in three quarters, significantly contributed to Rutgers' dominant display. KJ Duff, who had contemplated transferring out of Rutgers during the previous season, proved his worth by catching five passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. Howard's Eden James, father of NFL Hall of Famer Edgerrin James, contributed 116 yards on seven carries with a touchdown run.

This victory saw coach Greg Schiano reach a significant milestone of winning his 100th game at Rutgers, joining a select group of active Bowl Subdivision head coaches to achieve this feat. Rutgers will face off against defending champion Indiana on October 3.
