'A well-rounded team': Bowie finds impact plays all over the field in win against Austin High

Bowie defensive linemen Hendrix York, Cade Venable, and Marrell Hinton proved to be the backbone of the team's defense in their 31-3 victory over Austin High School. These three players, often referred to as the "three-headed monster," spent much of the game in the Maroons' backfield, causing chaos and making it difficult for the opposing offense to gain traction.

Bowie coach Jeff Ables praised the defensive linemen, stating that they were fast, tough, and smart, and he was proud of their performance. The Bulldogs' offensive attack, led by senior quarterback Deuce Brown and running back Rhys Moreno, complemented the defense's efforts. Moreno, who averaged over 220 rushing yards per game heading into the game, scored two rushing touchdowns in the second half, bringing his season total to 15.

Quarterback Connor O Dea connected with wide receiver Evan Dranguet on two big plays, setting up Moreno's second touchdown of the night. Despite some mistakes, such as penalties and a missed throw from O Dea, Bowie's well-rounded performance proved they were a force to be reckoned with, showcasing an elite offense and defense ready to play ball.
