Xiaomi's HyperOS 4 for Android 17 introduces several significant upgrades that enhance the overall user experience. Among the most impactful changes are:

A new Soft Light Glass effect provides a dynamic UI redesign, incorporating glass refraction, layered cards, and translucent blur across the interface, including the lock screen, home screen, app icons, Control Centre, folders, and widgets. HDR photo processing time has also decreased from 310ms to 240ms.
