Ukraine: Deadly Russian drone strike hits central Kyiv

Russian attacks killed ten people and injured 61 in Ukraine over the past day, local authorities revealed. The deadliest strike occurred in northeastern Kharkiv Oblast, where Russian S-8000 Banderol cruise missiles targeted a farm in the village of Stara Hnylytsia, killing six workers and injuring 14 others. A total of 295 Russian attack drones, including 52 of the newer jet-powered models, struck Ukraine overnight on September 25.

Ukrainian forces shot down or suppressed 267 drones, utilizing electronic warfare. Russian drone strikes were recorded at 16 locations, while debris damage occurred at an additional four sites. Meanwhile, Kyiv endured near-daily Russian drone attacks, with a 14-year-old boy killed in a strike on a residential building in Pecherskyi district and 20 others injured.

Russian attacks also hit Donetsk Oblast, causing two civilian deaths and seven injuries; Dnipropetrovsk Oblast reported four injuries; Kherson Oblast recorded nine wounded; Sumy Oblast had four civilian injuries; and Odesa Oblast saw one death and one injury in Russian attacks. In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, two people were injured, and Russian drones targeted a medical center and ambulances.
