President Donald Trump made 1,156 trades in July, a number nearly 40 times greater than Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's 29 trades all of last year, according to a report filed with the Office of Government Ethics. The trades were valued at between $79 million and $270 million. Trump's trades included both purchases and sales, with a significant portion involving investments in entities related to the hedge fund Key Square, which he left to join the administration.

Bessent, a Wall Street veteran, disclosed only sales of individual stocks like Verizon and Archer-Daniels-Midland. Despite Trump's high volume of trades, it is unusual for a president to maintain an actively traded portfolio of individual securities while in office.
