Tributes paid to philosopher Satchidananda Murty on his birth anniversary

Andhra University, in Visakhapatnam, honored the birth anniversary of the renowned philosopher and Padma Vibhushan recipient, K. Satchidananda Murty, on Friday. Jaladi Ravi, principal of the College of Arts and Commerce, Andhra University, paid floral tributes and placed a garland at the statue of Kotha Satchidananda Murty. Mr. Ravi highlighted Murty's significant contributions to philosophy, education, and the academic growth of Andhra University.

K. Ramesh Babu, Head of the Department of Philosophy, emphasized Murty's lasting legacy and his impact on philosophy, higher education, and the intellectual traditions of the university. He stated that Murty's philosophical vision, scholarly work, and dedication to preserving Indian philosophical thought continue to motivate students and scholars across generations.

Speaking at the ceremony were Kotha Ramesh Babu, Murty's son, Ravi Babu, a retired professor, faculty members, research scholars, and students, who all paid their respects to the esteemed philosopher.
