According to Tumpat district police chief ACP Mohd Khairi Shafie, a Proton Saga driven by a 55-year-old woman from Morak crashed into the policeman, who fell and sustained minor injuries. The officer was taken to Tumpat Hospital for outpatient treatment, while the driver of the car was unharmed.
The incident is under investigation under Section 79(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
