Richmond Amoateng Foundation drives youth development and community unity in Juaben

The Richmond Amoateng Foundation is actively working to foster youth development and enhance community unity in Juaben. This is achieved through a variety of initiatives centered around education, sports, social support and collaboration with the diaspora. The Foundation has partnered with local leaders, such as H/W Kusi and Samuel Aikins, to organize programs that unite residents while providing opportunities for the youth in the area.

A key project is the annual December in Juaben festival, which brings together families, residents and members of the diaspora to honor their shared heritage and bolster community bonds. During the Christmas festivities, the Foundation successfully executed a feeding program that catered to 5,000 children, offering a vital support system during the holiday season.

The Foundation has also recognized the power of sports in bringing young people together. They organized a football tournament during the Easter holiday, uniting teams from different communities. This event not only allowed young individuals to interact and play together but also promoted essential values such as teamwork, friendship, and unity within the community.

In addition to sports, the Foundation has focused on education and academic development. They hosted a breakfast meeting for past Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates, aiming to inspire students to remain dedicated to their studies and strive for better academic achievements.

Furthermore, the Foundation is dedicated to strengthening ties with the Juaben diaspora. Representatives visited the United Kingdom to engage with the Juaben Association, exploring ways in which the diaspora and other stakeholders can contribute to youth development in Juaben. These discussions centered on identifying practical opportunities to assist young people, as the Foundation views them as the backbone of the community's future.
