Instinct is a product of Spear Street Technology, a company co-founded by Noah Shinn in 2025. The company's valuation jumped from $50 million to $2.5 billion in a matter of months, according to Forbes. In August 2026, Instinct closed a $250 million Series B round led by Index Ventures and Benchmark, raising its total funding to $350 million and valuing the company at $2.5 billion.

Just a month later, the startup is negotiating to raise another $1 billion at a $10 billion valuation, nearly four times its valuation in August. According to The Information, the round is still pending, and both terms and investors could change, but it shows the rapid growth of the company in such a short time.

For the user, Instinct offers a very simple and free agent that, by integrating with common platforms like WhatsApp, provides a constant and fluid conversation without changing applications. If the user decides to give it access to certain services, the agent's effectiveness and speed allow it to save a lot of time. For example, it can automate that every morning it makes a summary of the most important emails received, or a news summary on topics of interest, or simply respond to certain emails, without the user ever leaving the conversation with Instinct.

As for investor interest, analysts predict a change in criteria for AI. It's no longer about paying for a friendlier chatbot, but for an assistant with memory and real action capabilities. Experts have been predicting a future where agents do real things for humans, but until now there were no commercial systems at the disposal of users. For now, Instinct is free, but its terms and conditions already contain possible future payments.
