Qatar rejects Netanyahu’s UN accusation of campaign against Israel

Doha, Qatar: Dr. Majed bin Mohammad Al Ansari, a senior advisor to the Prime Minister and spokesperson for Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has firmly rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's allegations that Qatar is waging a campaign to sway public opinion against Israel. In a statement posted on X, Dr. Al Ansari dismissed Netanyahu's claim as an attempt to divert attention from Israel's atrocities in the occupied Palestinian territories and the resulting humanitarian crises.

He criticized Netanyahu's rhetoric as an insult to the discernment of young people, who are witnessing firsthand the situation in the region and forming their opinions accordingly. Dr. Al Ansari urged Netanyahu and other Israeli politicians to address their policies, cease violations of international law, and accept responsibility before the electorate instead of blaming Qatar for Israel's declining global standing.

Dr. Al Ansari also dismissed attempts to hold Qatar accountable for a global shift in public opinion as ineffective, asserting that such accusations only serve to distract from Israel's political responsibilities. He emphasized that these attacks are an effort to shift blame and exploit Qatar in domestic political calculations.
