NDLEA arrests two over Nigerian-Mexican meth lab in Enugu

The two suspects were arraigned before Justice Mabel Taiye Segun-Bello of the Federal High Court, Enugu Judicial Division, on a five-count charge. The charges include conspiracy, organisation, management and financing of a drug trafficking organisation, as well as unlawful possession of precursor chemicals used in methamphetamine production. The suspects pleaded to the charges and the judge fixed October 21, 2026, for trial.

The NDLEA also named three other persons, Uchenna, alias Uche; Celestine Ikemefuna Iwuchukwu; and Villanueva, who are still at large. The agency's Director, Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed the information in a statement, Punch Nigeria reports.
