My first MMO character #6: Jacob Ridley

My first massive multiplayer online game character was Don L Legs, born when I was a small child. I played RuneScape back then, but my memories of those early days are hazy at best. I vividly remember being exceptionally skilled at fishing, even topping the levels. I traded my cooked fish with higher-level players, earning myself some of the best armor in the game. With that gold armor, I also acquired a red face mask and a black halberd, which I found incredibly satisfying.

One day, I simply decided to stop playing. Little did I know that it would be the last time I'd play for a very long time. Despite keeping my account details, I was banned from the game years later after someone stole my account and used it for malicious purposes. The thought of losing that account, even though I hadn't played in years, brought me a sense of sadness.

I reached out to Jagex, and to my surprise, my account was unbanned. I want to express my gratitude to Mod Frenzy at Jagex support. Though I'm unsure if that's a specific mod or just a general term for the support team, they restored what may be the longest-running character in any video game, saving it from possible banishment.
