MP Guest Faculty’s Vidwan Janata Party Unveils 15-Point Agenda; Regularisation, Jobs Among Priorities

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Vidwan Janata Party (VJP), a political entity established by protesting college guest faculty members, has unveiled its 15-point agenda focused on regularisation and job security. The party, symbolized by the white lotus, was officially launched on September 15 following the Minister of Higher Education's challenge to the guest faculty members to contest elections. VJP plans to commence its membership drive from September 30.

Among the priorities outlined in the party's agenda are the regularisation of guest faculty and guest teachers in Classes 1 to 3, as well as contractual employees and outsourced and contract workers in various sectors, including healthcare. Other key concerns include curbing unemployment, inflation, and corruption, creating employment opportunities, protecting the rights of disadvantaged groups, and putting an end to nepotism in government recruitment and administration.

The party also advocates for increased participation of educated youth in politics and an end to the VIP culture.

The VJP's agitation has been suspended until October 3, with the faculty warning of further protests if no concrete decisions are made by October 4.
