Lynx flex their top-seed muscle without Miles, push Clark and the Fever to 6th for the WNBA playoffs

Minnesota's top-seeded Minnesota Lynx demonstrated their dominance in the WNBA regular season finale, defeating the Indiana Fever 86-66. Despite the absence of star point guard Olivia Miles due to a left calf injury, the Lynx secured the No. 1 seed for the WNBA playoffs. Natasha Howard contributed 21 points, while Courtney Williams provided 10 assists and seven rebounds.

Minnesota (33-11) will face New York in a first-round playoff series, starting Sunday. The Fever, currently sixth, will encounter either Golden State or Las Vegas, depending on those teams' outcomes on the West Coast. Indiana's season series with Washington ended in a tiebreaker loss, allowing the Mystics to take fifth place. The Fever's performance against Minnesota was lackluster, falling behind early and never recovering.

Caitlin Clark scored only two points on 1-for-12 shooting, while Kelsey Mitchell chipped in with 10 points.
