Logitech G just released an upgraded version of its 'revolutionary' 5-star gaming mouse — here's what makes the Pro X3 Superstrike better than its predecessor

Logitech G has unveiled an upgraded version of its acclaimed 5-star gaming mouse, the Pro X3 Superstrike, which is a refined iteration of the Pro X2 Superstrike launched earlier this year. The original model garnered praise in a 5-star review, with its innovative Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS) switches standing out. These HITS switches, powered by electromagnetic current, provide users with the ability to customize each switch's actuation point and resistance, a feature that proves invaluable in esports where reduced click latency could give competitors an advantage.

Although the Pro X3 Superstrike shares many of the original's specs, such as its 61g weight and wireless report rate up to 8,000Hz, it offers subtle improvements aimed at enhancing its already top-tier performance. Internal changes have led to a more balanced weight distribution, a direct outcome of feedback from professional esports players who found the original model too front-heavy.

The Pro X3 Superstrike also boasts a new NxLOGI chipset, prioritizing power efficiency with an impressive claim of over 135 hours of battery life per charge, a 45-hour improvement from its predecessor. Additionally, an upgraded sensor supports up to 48,000 DPI, a step up from the 44,000 DPI of the previous model. While the wireless capability remains unchanged, users can now take advantage of the same speed in a wired setup.

The software suite has also seen enhancements, with new Pro Presets in the Logitech G Hub app inspired by the settings used by esports players such as m0NESY or ShowMaker. Despite the improvements, the Pro X3 Superstrike comes with a higher price tag at $199.99 / £169.99 / AU$299.95, marking a $20 / £10 increase from the Pro X2 Superstrike.

However, the X2 Superstrike will continue to be available at a lower price, providing a more affordable option for gamers.
