Landslide in Odisha hits rail traffic: Check 10 affected trains on September 25

On September 25, a landslide in Odisha disrupted rail traffic in the Rayagada Division, resulting in significant changes to train schedules. The East Coast Railway (ECoR) implemented safety measures and streamlined restoration efforts by cancelling and adjusting train operations.

Four trains were canceled on September 25, 2026: Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger, Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Passenger, Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Express, and Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Express. Additionally, several other services were shortened or had their origins moved.

Train 18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Express, which departed from Howrah on September 23, was short-terminated at Koraput, with the segment between Koraput and Jagdalpur remaining canceled. Train 18006 Jagdalpur-Howrah Express, set to depart from Jagdalpur on September 25, originated from Koraput instead, while its segment between Jagdalpur and Koraput remained canceled.

Rourkela-Jagdalpur Express (18107) and Jagdalpur-Rourkela Express (18108), both scheduled to start on September 25, were also affected, with their respective segments between Koraput and Jagdalpur canceled. Furthermore, Hirakhand Express (18447) and its counterpart (18448), starting from Bhubaneswar on September 24 and Jagdalpur on September 25, respectively, were also short-terminated at Koraput, with their segments between Koraput and Jagdalpur remaining canceled.
