Lady apologises for AI-generated Itel power tank explosion image

Nigerian social media user Enori has apologized for creating and sharing a false image using artificial intelligence that purportedly showed an itel Power Tank exploding due to overcharging. Enori admitted that the image and claim were fabricated and posted on X earlier in the week. She deleted the post after it gained significant attention and later issued an apology on social media, expressing regret for misleading the itel team, customers, and individuals who may have believed the image.

Enori stated that the incident was unintentional and assured that the image was not a genuine photograph of an actual event. The power bank manufacturer, itel, had warned that the AI-generated image was fabricated and threatened legal action against those who intentionally used AI-generated content to spread false information about its products.

Itel emphasized that deliberate attempts to misrepresent the brand or mislead customers through false claims would result in appropriate legal action.
