Juventus held talks for Borussia Dortmund and Italy talent Inacio in June

In June of last year, Italian football powerhouse Juventus held discussions regarding Borussia Dortmund's talent, Samuele Inacio, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. However, Dortmund was not amenable to selling the 18-year-old. The Juventus scout mentioned that they sought information about Inacio during the summer transfer window but were unsuccessful in their bid.

Romano, speaking at an event, suggested that Inacio might consider returning to Italy in the future, as several Serie A clubs had made efforts to sign him during the previous summer transfer window. Juventus expressed strong interest in the young player, having opted for an alternative signing in Ekhator after Inacio was not available on the market.

Inacio has since been called up to the Italian national team for upcoming Nations League games, though he will not participate in the current fixture against Belgium, as he was removed from the match by coach Roberto Mancini for unsportsmanlike conduct. Although he made his senior Italy debut against Luxembourg in June, he remains eligible to represent Brazil, as his previous appearance for Italy was not part of an official competitive match.

Juventus' long-term strategy includes building a robust lineup of Italian players, with goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani from Frosinone and midfielder Alessandro Romano from Cagliari also on their radar.
