IT Arena 2026 Starts in Lviv — What Is Known About the Country’s Main Technology Conference

IT Arena 2026 kicked off in Lviv on September 25, marking Ukraine's premier technology conference under the theme "Leading the Way." Spanning three days until September 27, this event is the largest of its kind in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, catering to tech enthusiasts, product managers, business analysts, entrepreneurs, and startup founders.

Due to security concerns, organizers transformed the conference format, making it decentralized and held at multiple undisclosed locations to prevent large gatherings. Despite this, IT Arena 2026 attracted over 7,500 participants, more than 100 speakers, and attendees from 40 countries worldwide.

On the first day, discussions centered on reshaping the "Ukraine" brand, innovation, diplomacy, and the country's capital development amidst the ongoing war. In addition to regular stages like Business, Product, and Innovation, a new Dev Stage was introduced, focusing on CTOs and architects of complex systems. Prominent speakers included Barry M. Katz (IDEO), Dan Tyre (HubSpot's first salesperson), Tetiana Lukyniuk (Google Ukraine Director), and officials from the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Oksana Ferchuk and Natalia Denikeieva.

A notable shift from previous years is the substitute of traditional exhibitions with a startup battle. On September 26, 40 selected teams will compete in semifinals, vying for a $65,000 prize pool and exposure to $12.5 million in investor portfolios. The conference will conclude on the final day, September 27, with large-scale meetups and networking events across various city locations.

The event's information partner is the "Multimedia Platform of Ukraine's International Broadcasting" (IBMPU), with international broadcasting representatives participating in the conference.
