He proceeded to point the "rifle" at the ground and fire off a simulated shot, prompting the referee to issue a second yellow card and a red card, resulting in his ejection from the game.

According to football laws, players are penalized for celebrations that are provocative, derisory, or inflammatory. Abu Farhi's behavior earned him the severe disciplinary action. The incident occurred during a tense match, with Ireland facing mounting pressure to boycott their forthcoming games against Israel. The Irish national team's head coach, Heimir Hallgrimsson, expressed discomfort playing against a nation he perceives as complicit in genocide.
