Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed his willingness to surrender the enriched uranium under his country's possession, according to a report by Fox News. He stated, "Yes, within the framework of international law and based on the Non-Proliferation Treaty, we will adhere to everything we are obligated to do." The Non-Proliferation Treaty prohibits the spread of nuclear weapons.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reports that Iran possesses around 440 kilograms of uranium with an enrichment level of approximately 60 percent. This quantity could potentially be sufficient to create several nuclear weapons if the enrichment level is slightly increased. The IAEA inspectors, however, currently lack access to the more than 20 known sites of Iran's nuclear program.

The internationally recognized government of Yemen is urging the global community to provide stronger support in the fight against the Houthi militia. Yemen's leader, Abdullah al-Alimi, stated at the UN General Debate in New York, the country is capable of ending the threat posed by the militia and protecting its ports and territorial waters.

For this, the international community must fulfill its responsibility by halting the flow of arms and technologies to the Houthi and strengthening the security forces and the economy of the country. Al-Alimi emphasized that Yemen does not demand that others fight its battle. He stated that lasting security of vital shipping routes in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab cannot be achieved without restoring state control in Yemen.
